What is a festival?

A festival is usually defined as either a day or period of celebration, or alternatively an organised series of concerts, plays, or films, typically held annually in the same place.

Potentially quite a broad spectrum and Danco have been involved in many types of festival over the last 40 years. Some particular projects that we have focused on in more detail can be found on the below pages:

Shapeshifting stock!

Within our marquee hire stock we hold clearspan structures with the option of red & blue coloured black-out PVC on some frames, traditional marquees with breathable wall panels and a range of decorative structures such as Chinese hats to compliment your event.

At Glastonbury alone we provide in excess of 100 versatile temporary structures that are transformed in to every shape and size, from power bars, hotels and craft cider bars to first aid points, catering tents and television green rooms. Some are floored and lined with coloured drapes, others have bespoke built facades and many remain in their original and practical condition.

Festival friends and friendly words …aif_friend

Having now become an official ‘friend’ of the Association of Independent Festivals it is clear that the market for festivals is ever expanding and we are looking forward to hopefully providing our experience and quality services at more sites across the UK.

Our existing clients are very kind to us too and say some lovely things, should you fancy reading their testimonials!

From flowers to farming

Some of our most longstanding clients are the organisers of national and county shows across the UK, celebrating everything from exotic flowers to exceptional farm animals and sporting excellence. The specifics of each show and showground are different, you can see many examples of our projects on the pages below:Devon County

Stick with tradition or be more open plan?

Showgrounds are where our traditional marquees often come in to their own, due to their capability to cope with uneven ground and difficult sites. They are made from fire retardant natural canvas, which is breathable and ideal for flower shows and agricultural shows. We have also introduced aluminium poles to replace wood to offer you the best safety option for your marquee solution.

Alternatively, our Clearspan structures offer greater structural strength than traditional marquees and with no internal poles or guy ropes they provide an excellent open space in which to create your ideal event layout.

Our marquees see it all

One example of what we can achieve is at the Three Counties Showground, where for one of their annual shows we provide over 80 temporary structures in total! These range from 40″ traditional pole tents to house the sheep, all the way up to a 40m wide clear span for a vast amount of cattle, not to mention the shopping pavilions. Our marquees really do see it all and our standby staff that can stay on-call at your event do to, they get on well with our clients though as you can see in the testimonials we receive!
