Waterlogged at the Harbour Festival!

After Torrential Rain in the run up to the event and the marquee hire locations still being frantically rearranged on the morning we arrived to erect them, the Bristol Harbour Festival was very nearly abandoned due to waterlogged conditions. Oh the irony! However after serious debate between Bristol City Council and Richmond Event Management the plans were reworked and plan b,c,d & e were executed. Unfortunately the weather stayed poor on both Friday and Saturday, but on Sunday the weather came good and the event enjoyed bumper crowds meandering through the numerous stalls and viewing all the events taking place at the festival. Richmond Event Management did another great job in hosting the event in the city centre and we certainly hope to be part of the plans for next years marquee hire.
Here's a quote from the organisers.
"Many thanks for all of your help and all of the teams hard work over the weekend. I know that there were a few teething problems- and I hope that it was not too frustrating for your team on the build. All lessons for next year and it makes it all easier. I hope that all kit came back in good condition."
Cheers, Jemma. Richmond Event Management
The Harbourside, in Bristol has hosted the Harbour Festivel for 39 years, with about 200,000 visitors attending live music, street performances and a variety of live entertainment. The festival includes music stages, a dance stage, street theatre performances, and water displays. A highlight of the festival is the Saturday Night Fireworks presentation. Most of the activities are held near the waterfront, so a significant part of the festival is connected with the seagoing vessels moored nearby.
