Royal Welsh Records great attendance figures

The Royal Welsh Show ended its four-day run with the fourth highest attendance figures sinced it settled in Builth Wells 47 years ago.
The Royal Welsh Show ended its four-day run in July this year with the fourth highest attendance figures since the event settled in Builth Wells some forty seven years ago.
After seeing 70,613 people come through the gates on the third day of this year's Royal Welsh Show the organisers new they were in for a bumper year. Despite experiencing torrential rain on the second day which turned the hallowed turf of the main ring into something that looked more like a ploughed field, the crowds still turned up en-mass to allow the RWAS to record the forth largest attendance at the Built Wells site. The figures go someway to show the popularity and appeal of the Event, and the importance of the show to Wales’s farming and social calendar. The organisers have worked hard to ensure there is something to appeal to all elements and put on some fantastic displays which this year included the world Sheep Shearing Championships, an impressive display from the Kings Troops team, the ever popular JCB Dancing Diggers and over 1000 trade stands selling everything from fly fishing rods to home made fudge.
Danco was onsite from two weeks before the event, erected numerous marquees on the site for a large range of commercial clients including marquees for Tesco, Milk Link, The Horse Village and also for educational and charity organisations, such as The University of Aberystwyth and the Wildlife Trust for Wales. As usual our on site support crew stayed at the showground throughout the event to assist support our clients.
The show was a fantastic success and we wish RWAS all the best for the 2011 show which will be taking place on 18th - 21st July.
