Glastonbury festival enjoyed weather more in keeping with the Sahara than Somerset

Glorious Glastonbury

The festival famed in recent years for mud and atrocious weather received some equaling of karma this year when it was blessed with the best weather of the year. While festival goers usually clamber for a spot of dry land this year saw those clambering to find shade over a glorious weekend.

Danco were at the festival providing over 50 marquees for a variety of clients in a range of sizes and styles. Many of the marquees we're unrecognizable after they were dressed and themed, the most impressive of which had to be the London Underground Club which resembled and derelict tower block with a tube carriage embedded in the front. The festival is extremely well run and a must for everyone interested in music and with over 40 stages running over the weekend, there really is something for everyone.
Thousands of food traders, charities, campaigning organisations and peddlers of the bizarre and unique trade at Glastonbury each year. Each stall is costed individually, based on the location of the site and the type of organisation, the number of staff, the size of stall, the products being sold and so on. There will be some 180,000 people on site at the busiest, with the public arriving from Wednesday morning onwards and most remaining until Monday morning.

Whether you are absorbing the sights and sounds, tastes and smells or feeling the vibes and exploring your inner self, indulge your senses, it’s all available here in the markets! Have a good wander around - you’ll be amazed at what you can find…

At Glastonbury, like nowhere else, you can track down gifts to amaze and delight. It’s so easy to spread a little happiness! Consider the amazing wood carvings and sculptures for sale in the Craft Field, the unique imported treasures in the original markets in Babylon, and some of the most random goods on this planet around the Other Stage and Dance Field.

A weekend is only just long enough to get a taste of all that is on offer.

There’s an array of food to indulge all kinds of taste buds; from the Far East to the Wild Wild West to good old proper English Country grub. The choice is yours with around two hundred and fifty food stalls onsite.

Glastonbury is famous for having some of the best festival food available anywhere – some very reasonable, others slightly pricier. There are all types and prices of food available from a cheap bowl of porridge and cup of tea and toast to a top quality silver service meal.
