Danco provide a marquee 1/4 of a mile out to sea for the RNLI

The RNLI contacted Danco to see if we were able to provide a marquee 1/4 mile out to sea with the only access being a condemned pier.
The RNLI were in desperate need of a structure to protect their lifeboats and support vehicles from the winds and relentless weather on Birnbeck Island near Weston - Super - Mare. The island is currently owned by a development company and whilst the various planning applications are proposed the RNLI were reluctant to commit to a large financial outlay.
They turned to Danco to provide a solid sided structure with vehicular access for the various boats and trailers, however the biggest obstacle would be the access.
The only way to and from the island is currently via a condemned pier that has a 1m wide pathway and severe weight restrictions.
Danco spent many hours looking at various products and logistical methods, and as you can see from the attached photo's the end result was a perfect match of practicality and function.
The RNLI save many lives every year responding to emergency calls at a moments notice and we were proud to help them on this project.
