Our 40^th anniversary year was a busy one, with lots of existing clients to look after and an influx of new events, shows and contracts to supply. Danco took on two new members of the sales team to add to a very strong crew of over 70 employees, some of whom have been here to celebrate their ‘Silver’ anniversary believe it or not!

So when Laura Priestley-Cooper, Show Manager at The Royal County of Berkshire Show, contacted us to enquire about the provision of some large scale structures for last year’s successful event, we were in a great position to say yes. It was the beginning of what has become a great working relationship, based on efficiency, brilliant communication and quality service.

The first year went well with both the build and dismantle being organised and on-time, our client was happy with the product supplied and the team allocated to the job, providing the below feedback …

All our hard work came to fruition recently as we were pleased to be named the principal supplier of clearspan marquee hire at this prestigious show for the next 3 years. Our project manager for this event, Cheryl Wilcox, will be looking after the job with the help of a senior foreman and an experienced on-site crew. The organisation and provision of more than 130,000 sq ft of marquee space, in frame sizes ranging from 3m to 20m is no easy feat. It requires precise timing plans, exacting health & safety practices and even a cup of tea or two with the lovely team at the Newbury & District Agricultural Society. The latter being a custom that all involved are happy to oblige.

Our structures will house everything from flowers and farriers, to ferrets, stewards, craft stalls, the VIP member’s enclosure and a delicious food fayre. The show takes place at the Newbury Showground on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of September and is well worth a visit on one, or both days. There is plenty to see and do, some of our team were guests in the hospitality pavilion last year and had a brilliant day out.
