BEST COUNTY SHOWS THIS SUMMER
Over the summer months, food, farming and the countryside are celebrated across the UK. We, like everyone else love a county show or two, enjoying the long-standing British tradition; showcasing the very best in local rural life and farming.
Thousands of people descend upon showgrounds and exhibition centres each year and 2018 is no different. Temporary structures including clearspan and traditional marquees are a firm favourite for event organisers and thankfully we hold a range of marquees of various sizes along with ancillary options. Not only do we house exhibitors, food halls and VIP areas, we also provide temporary homes for livestock too. From pigeons to people, our temporary structures are suitable for all, anytime of the year.
Some shows have already been and gone but there’s plenty more to look forward to. Here are some of Danco’s favourites…
BALMORAL SHOW
Northern Irelands largest agricultural event held its 150th show earlier this month with over a whopping 700 stalls on site!
DEVON COUNTY SHOW
With plenty of sunshine and a royal wedding, this year was again a huge success. Held at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter, Devon-folk must already be counting down to next year’s show!
SUFFOLK SHOW
Held at Trinity Park in Ipswich on the 30th & 31st May there’s over 100 FREE things to see & do; enjoy half term at the show and get involved with all the action.
ROYAL BATH & WEST SHOW
Hosted in the heart of the West of England, this year has seen a record number of entries into Cheese Awards and Cider Championships. Visit thousands of animals and hundreds of trade stands at the Showground on the 30th May to 2nd June and see what all the fuss is about!
ROYAL CORNWALL SHOW
Cornish Wrestling anyone? Not your typical entertainment from a county show but enjoy three jam-packed days with all things Cornish & Agricultural in one lovely showground. Head to Wadebridge on the 7th, 8th & 9th June and don you Cornish wrestling costume!
ROYAL THREE COUNTIES SHOW
Celebrating 60 years at the Showground, the Three Counties Show promises three full days of entertainment from the 15th to 17th June, including a livestock grand parade finale!
ROYAL NORFOLK SHOW
On the 27th & 28th June why not head to the East of England and celebrate two days at Norfolk County Show.
SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE SHOW
The county show with a difference is showcasing lifestyle and leisure on the 4th & 5th August at the South Glos Showground. This year combines music, motoring, food and more!
EDENBRIDGE & OXTED SHOW
Enjoy some August Bank Holiday action in Surrey this summer with animals, equestrian & livestock. Best of all, kids go FREE with any paying adult!
ROYAL COUNTY OF BERKSHIRE SHOW
Established in 1909, this former horse show quickly turned into an agricultural show. Hosted at the Newbury Showground on the 15th & 16th September, this year it’s even dog friendly!
