Think starlight lining, a dramatic reveal screen that drops at the press of a button, a revolving pianist, the most spectacular fireworks display and staging fit for a famous rock band …. not to mention the lighting (thank you Knight Light Events). When Danco do weddings, we really do them in style!
The build began on a rainy morning, but our crews are used to working in all weathers thankfully. As the marquee was set to have a decking platform built out across the client’s lake, the bespoke flooring system was carefully installed as the first port of call. Over 10 tonne of ballast were sunk to the bottom of the lake to secure the structure! This spectacular marquee made use of a huge variety of our product styles and took months of planning and 3D sketches to get the layout exactly right.
The wedding marquee we created wasn’t what you would imagine as a traditional wedding venue! A 25m wide clearspan temporary structure with solid wall panels and a semi-transparent radial end entrance was the base of our creation. Add in our black-out festival covers over one end for the evening party, complete with a huge stage, glitter bar and dance floor (which was rarely left unattended once the music started!)
The wedding breakfast, from event catering experts Foster’s, was enjoyed beneath chandeliers and starlight lining whilst the pianist played on a revolving stage in front of the grand top table. We managed a whole host of contractors on behalf of the client, including the gold crockery & cutlery from Whitehouse Event Crockery, to make the event build and delivery run smoothly.
As the light faded, guests went out on to the decking, covered by a festoon lit transparent marquee roof, to watch the fabulous firework display by MLE Pyrotechnics.
The video link below shows the full display in all it’s glory from an aerial perspective and you can see the large marquee creation lit up below …
