Badminton Horse Trials, Badminton House, Gloucestershire
Danco have been the official marquee & temporary structure suppliers at Badminton Horse Trials for nearly 40 years.
The world famous event runs over a four day period and is held at the Duke of Beaufort’s Estate in South Gloucestershire. We are the principle on-site contractor for marquees, tents, fencing and whole host of other ancillary products. Delivery of equipment to the Estate can start up to six weeks prior to the event due to the quantity involved and the vast amount of man hours required to construct the marquee structures on site.
The first Badminton Horse Trials took place way back in 1949 and since then it has grown to become probably the most prestigious equine event in the world.
It is the largest paid-entry sport event in the UK attracting crowds of up to 250,000 on cross-country day, and second only in the world behind the Indianapolis 500 in America!
Badminton’s shopping village is one of the many highlights of the event each year, attracting a wide collection of many well known brands, which in turn attracts a huge audience of shoppers from around the world.
With an impressive range of stock and expert staff, the tented village offers a professional service to the general public with a personal touch together with free and friendly advice.
Danco plc provide the expertise on site with over 200,000 sqm of temporary structures being erected to house everything from the press marquee, sponsors pavilions, hospitality units, to the vast shopping village.
As principal contractors we are also responsible for all of the mobile catering units on site during the event. We look after all aspects of this from the initial booking of the many different outlets required from coffee to noodles, to siting the units correctly prior to the event and the daily checks required to ensure the highest quality & standard for all visitors.
