PROJECT BRIEF:

The Devon County Show is a 3 day event held at the Westpoint Showground near Exeter. Danco have been the main marquee structure supplier at the show for many years and during that time we have built a great working relationship with the organisers.

The show offers a huge variety of attractions for the whole family and is centered around the main arena where the majority of spectator events take place. The history of the show goes back to 1872, when the Devon County Agricultural Association was formed to undertake promotion of the Devon County Show. It was originally held at various sites around the county until 1956, when it moved to its first permanent site at Whipton, Exeter and subsequently to its present site in 1990.

Danco supplies a large quantity of structures at the event including the Sponsors & Presidents Pavilions, Flower and Agricultural marquees and the many trade stands throughout the site.

The annual event is the biggest in the region and kicks off the agricultural showing season for the South West and the rest of the UK for Danco.

SOLUTION:

In 2012 Danco provided a 25m Union Jack Gable end on the Sponsors Pavilion adjacent to the main arena. The patriotic theme was timed perfectly for the various ongoing Jubilee Celebrations and the arrival of the Olympic torch from Athens to the UK during the event.
