Danco recently provided an eye catching structure for a private client which was cleverly themed on the magical world of “Harry Potter”.
Utilising our black out Festival Marquee with solid sides, the venue took shape over several days with internal fittings complimenting the theme to incredible effect. The 25m x 15m clearspan marquee also incorporated a 7.5m x 15m radial end for a spectacular entrance and bar area.
We provided over 75 running meters of internal PVC wall covering material from floor to ceiling that had been specially printed for the event. This included a scaled size brick wall which was installed in sections to the side and rear of the radial end of the marquee. Utilising this method recreated “Platform 9 3/4” to great effect along with a scale railway track that had been installed as an added talking point for the guests.
In one section of the wall, vertical incisions were made in the PVC wall to create a concealed entrance to the main party area. Guests passed through this entrance, through a blacked out tunnel and into the “Great Hall” which featured long refectory style tables, dance floor, themed props & “Harry Potter” memorabilia.
Inside the main “Great Hall” area we also installed a 15m wide giant size printed bookcase at the gable end together with cloister effect infinity walls running along both sides of the structure which had also been specially printed onto PVC.
A vast amount of lighting was installed in all areas of the marquee structure together with a number of led candles that were suspended from the ceiling in the “Great Hall”. This helped to create the maximum “Hogwarts” simulation effect and added atmosphere to the event.
The event structure also featured a fully carpeted & heated outdoor patio area which also became a viewing platform for a spectacular firework display during the evening of the event. It also acted as a platform providing access to a VIP toilet trailer for the guests.
