Danco are contracted to provide temporary structures for the Ironman 70.3 events around the UK. The event sees thousands of endurance athletes from all over the world take part in a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile half marathon challenge. The entire race has to be finished in under 16 hours and 50 minutes!
Even the likes of Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana participated as part of the Gordon Ramsay Foundation, which raises money for charitable causes close to their heart such as the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Danco provide the hospitality pavilion for the foundation who entertain the friends and family of their competitors on race day, in the gallery below are some images of our structures that add something a little different to the venue.
With Danco’s experience in large-scale events, we were the suitable supplier to give our client what they wanted on time, and to a high standard. Danco have continued to provide marquees for the internationally recognised IRONMAN events. Our strong on-site crews travel all the way from Exmoor, to Wales & the Midlands to install a variety of structures that are used for the participant registration and merchandise spaces, not forgetting the massage tents!
In total, Danco provided approx. 90,000 sq. ft of coverage for the Ironman events at Shugborough, Tenby, Wimbleball combined. From traditional marquees to large aluminium framed structures, Danco ensured that the needs of the client were fulfilled. Danco are proud to be a part of such a reputable long-standing event.
