PROJECT BRIEF:

The smallest details really can make the biggest impact, that’s why Meridienne Exhibitions asked Danco to provide all of the marquee requirements for the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition.

SOLUTION:

The Exhibition displays some amazing examples of miniature craftsmanship covering all elements of model engineering. The exhibition has over 80 stands that include boats, planes, steam engines, trains (a huge working train set), exhibits from many regional modelling clubs as well as a great variety of tooling machinery.

There is a great feel to this exhibition and it is a must see for anyone involved in modelling. Danco provide several solid sided marquees on full suspended floor that are linked together and into the main exhibition hall on site.

As many of the attendees are elderly, entrance ramps were of critical importance in allowing the visitors of the exhibition to move between the structures and see all the small detail on show.

As with the exhibition it’s the small details with the marquees that really make the difference. Now in its 33rd year, the Midlands Model Engineering Exhibition is the largest specialist model engineering event to be found anywhere. Each year sees nearly 1,000 superb models on display and these together with the opportunity to meet old friends and thousands of fellow model engineers is an experience not to be missed.
