When restoring a Russian Schooner you need some serious space. See how Danco marquee hire provided protection from the elements while the restoration project took place.
Restoring a classic car is a big job, but just imagine the work involved in restoring a replica eighteenth century ship! This was the project that engineers from specialist company EISCA were embarking on, taking the remains of a Russian schooner, the Elena Maria Barbara and returning it to its former glory. The work was going to take place at Cardiff docks and was likely to take up to two years to complete. EISCA needed Danco marquee hire to build a structure to cover over the whole of the ship, preventing further damage and allowing their team of skilled craftsmen a safe and sheltered working environment to restore the historic vessel.
After a site visit, Danco marquee hire were able to recommend using a 25m wide clearspan marquee, which was carefully erected over the ship by our experienced team of site staff. The generous roof height within the structure allowed the craftsmen from EISCA full access to reach all parts of the vessel and begin the painstaking restoration work. Weather conditions can be extremely variable on this part of the South Wales coastline and hence the site received regular maintenance visits to check the marquee hire, supported by a 24 hour call out service. At the end of the project the marquee was taken down and the Elena Maria Barbara was ready to take to the high seas once again.
